RAF Turnhouse ORB
 

Hi,

Would anyone have a copy of the RAF Turnhouse ORB? AIR 28/861 ORB and AIR28/863 Appendicies.

I'm looking for a reference for 3rd May when 12 Gladiators arrived at the Station. I'd be interested to see if it has any details of these aircraft, where they came from and who the pilots were.

141 Sqn's ORB, stationed at RAF Grangemouth, states that six Gladiators arrived on 1st May with another six arriving the following day. These were all flown to Turnhouse on the 3rd. According to the ORB they were 'en route North'.

Most of them were destined for 263 Sqn and their second visit to Norway in May 1940.

Any help appreciated.

I would be surprised if a Stn ORB would detail pilot's names but it might mention unit if not 263?
