The above apparently carried out a 'low-level attack on a ball bearing factory in Chelmsford'-does anyone have a possible date which must be post-1 Jun 43 and pre-4 Jul 44? Also, does anyone have a note of his usual crew?

FF Hptmn Kurt Seyfarth; BO Fw Erwin Brügger; BF Fw Gerhard Ramoth; BM Uffz Heinrich Bröffel. They were together from June 1943 until war's end. Bröffel told me this when we met at a KG2 re-union in 2003. He also provided me with a list of his UK and Invasion Front ops from Soesterberg (14.06.1943 - 16.06.1944). No mention of Chelmsford - so either that was one he missed or the raid took place outside of the S-berg time frame.
