Hello,

Is anybody familiar with the LW von Rohden Collection? Is it in English?

Ja, aber der Sammlung von Rohden ist auf Deutsch. It is very dry and academic, highly fragmented and difficult to work with. Although there may be a few papers and studies dealing with your period of interest, I would say it probably would not be worth the time and labor. A number of English language Luftwaffe historians have used it, for example:

Corum, James S., The Luftwaffe: Creating the Operational Air War, 1918-1940 .
Corum, James and Richard Muller, The Luftwaffe’s Way of War (Baltimore, 1998).
Hayward, Joel S. A. Stopped at Stalingrad: The Luftwaffe and Hitler’s Defeat in the East 1942-1943. Lawrence (KS): Univ. Press of Kansas, 1998.
Muller, Richard, The German Air War in Russia (Baltimore, 1992).
Murray, Williamson, Strategy For Defeat: The Luftwaffe 1933-1945 (Secaucus (NJ), 1986).

Larry,

Thanx for the summary. That's just what I needed. Doesn't sound like there is much there that would be of use for the EoE project. I couldn't believe that there was a major LW war history of which I wasn't aware at this point.

If any with access to this knows of any fragments that we could use for the 1939-40 war period, please let me know.
