On this mission, 611 Sqn lost Lt David Bay in EN574 (crashed near Montreuil) and 331 Sqn lost Sgt Trygve Berven in LZ917/T (crashed near Bergues). Having interviewed both, they confirm that they were shot down. The mission took place around lunchtime yet the only claim (unconfirmed) was by Ofw Johann Edmann of 8/JG 26. Can anyone confirm what might have happened? RAF claims were excessive........
