Gentlemen
On 10/6-1945 Obergefreiter und Pilot Helmut Mathewes was washed ashore at Sogaard Forstrand beach west of Ringkobing on the Danish westcoast. He was laid to rest in Nr.Lyngvig cemetery on 17/6-45 where he rest under a civilian stone.
In the church protocol is added: Killed near Hull, England on 23/3-45. he was born on 07/11-1924.
Hes dog sign read: 00930/108.
Can anyone help by telling me where he belonged and what happend ?

Last offensive Luftwaffe ops over the UK were on 20-21 March 1945, so this seems a bit odd?

Could it be some sort of Recce flight ?

There was a claim by a Mosquito crew of 125 Sqd. for a Ju88 which crashed in the sea N/E of Cromer on the night of 20/21-3-45 the last intuder raid over the UK. Unable to trace any loss details for this claim,
