EKM with possible wrong name?

Burial records show the EKM 55511/182 for an airman named FRAZLOW, buried July 1944 in Clacton Cemetery, is the name correct?

Re: EKM with possible wrong name?

Correct name for this EKM is Uffz Franz Marx of 1./KG 6, MIA 15 Oct 1943. I have never seen name "Frazlow" in Luftwaffe.

Matti,
Thanks, the mystery deepens, where was Marx listed as missing?

Wasn't he a member of the only Ju 188 crew not to come down on land that night or was he part of the Waldecker crew ( not the Geyr crew). Don't have details to hand

Häyn was shot down by Maguire of 85 Sqn off the coast on the way to the target. Route was to attack London from the north and head back via Thames Estuary. I have written about this night in Flypast or BaW as it saw the first 2 Ju 188s coming down on land

Re: EKM with possible wrong name?

Many thanks to Chris and Melvin, it was the name Frazlow in the original burial register entry, and the very late burial that added to the confusion.
Cheers
Joe
