JG 3 Feldzug Russland

Can anyone identify the NCO's and the officers depicted on this
shot taken somewhere in Ukraine winter 1941 ?

Far right, side view is Emil Bitsch.

In total good series of 8/JG3 including several pictures of Franz Beyer.

Indeed thats him as into Beyer yes indeed . I've got an other Q maybe you may be aware of related to same auction .What VIP visit and what date it took place at Uman showing two FW-200's ? I suspect Goering or even Hitler may have been visiting overthere

Re: JG 3 Feldzug Russland

I think that the pictures were taken when Hitler and Mussolini landed at Uman on 28 august 1941 during the visit of the italian dictator to the east front.

Why would anybody wear a greatcoat in August in the USSR? The top image cannot be August.

Chris

I think Gianandrea had a good shot at it. Its the meeting Hitler Mussolini
visiting Heeresgruppe Süd and the Italian Army Corps . The airfield
was Uman on Aug 28,41

As into the specific clothing here is an other shot of the meeting

Re: JG 3 Feldzug Russland

I don't see the relationship between the first picture of 8./JG 3 personnel taken in cold weather in Autumn/Winter/Spring, and the following images of Hitler and Mussolini taken in August. Sorry have I missed something?
