JG 2; SG 4; NAG 13 and...

I've just posted the first updates of 2006 to my website: www.ghostbombers.com/updates.html

These include:

Additions to the article on I./JG 2 in Italy including a detailed report on the first 12 operational days in Italy (ammunition expenditure included!) and a new page listing the tactical markings of about 30 of the Gruppe's aircraft deployed to Italy.

Seven pages of RAF and RCAF combat reports added to Schlachtgeschwader 4: last battles in Italy: No. 417 Squadron on 14 and 19 May 1944; No. 92 on 18 May; No. 232 on the 24th; Nos. 242 and 451 on the 25th.

New pages on NAG 13 in May 1944, listing the pilots and aircraft of the 3. Staffel and with four loss/accident reports. (Lots of Bf 109 Werk Nummern included for those who get off on that stuff).

Thanks Nick. Enjoy the updates you share on these little known parts of the air war in Italy.

To O. Menu: I won't call you an idiot! I have just changed computer, operating system and webpage software version - many of the hyperlinks turned from blue to black (and not very easy to see) when I updated the site. I've worked out what the problem was and I'll fix it as soon as I have time.

Try this: http://www.ghostbombers.com/JG2/moves.html#20

To kb: Thanks, glad you enjoy it. I wonder why these air battles are so little known? There are enough books about the battles of Anzio and Cassino but they rarely lift their eyes from the ground.

The data for March 1944 from the www.ww2.dk site is quoted in my own article.
