Uffz. Rudi Bauer (Jagdflieger) + gefallen

Good night to all.

Am looking details about a Jagdflieger named RUDI BAUER. Possibly an Unteroffizier who may have flown in the Mediterranean Theater of war on Bf 109.

I do guess he may have flown with JG 27. He was born in ESSEN, in 19th June 1917 and passed throught Bad Ulm in August 1941.

Any relevant information most welcomed.

Yours,
Adriano

Hi Adriano,

Rudi Bauer, a pilot of 9./JG 27 was killed 04.10.43 at the airfield of Argos South by American bombing. On the pic one can see Argos North at Koutsopodi and Argos South.

ILSIS and Byron,

THANK YOU SO MUCH. This guy is indeed the man I am looking for. I was cross-checking other BAUERs...but this is the man I am looking for.

Do have NO words to express my gratitude...
Yours,
Adriano Silva Baumgartner

Adriano,

I`m glad if i could help. There is an other thing, most Aviation researchers don`t know: a third smaller landing floor in Argos named "Fichtia". Constructed by the Germans between Argos North (Koutsopodi) and the village of Fichtia.

Hello Byron, there were only two airfields in that area. Argos South and Argos North which you called Fichtia.Occasionaly there were some seaplanes taking off at Nauplia nearby . Regards A.
