Underwing Containers

The Heinkel depicted towing a glider during the first invasion of
Kertch in 1941 is seen carrying two white containers under its wings
what was the purpose of both containers ?

THE 'CONTAINERS' ARE FUEL TANKS (NOT DROPPABLE)
