Luftwaffe mess hall plate?
1 Attachment(s)
Good evening all,
Am glad I found and registered to this site as I am a WWII aviation history "buff". In my professional life, I am a Canadian bush pilot whom flies 1950's vintage De Havilland DHC-2 "Beaver's" on British Columbia's West Coast. I often wish I could have my assigned aircraft "talk and recount its history" but alas, they never do! I digress... I recently acquired a 9 inch porcelain plate which I believe to be a Luftwaffe mess hall dish plate. It's dated 1942 at the bottom and comes from the Bauscher and Weiden factory. Would anyone here be able to provide a bit of insight as to what I have have just purchased? "If only a plate could talk!" All the best, Cessna |
