Three JG 11 pilots

Can anyone tell me to which Staffeln the following three pilots belonged during December 1943:

Fw Josef Leiner
Fw Ernst Hautmann
Uffz Leonhard Pelzill

The first two were KIA 20.12.43 while the third was wounded on the same day. Any details would be appreciated.

Re: Three JG 11 pilots

None of them belonged to JG 11.
Leiner (or Leimer?) belonged to 5/JG 302, Palzkill to 5/JG 302 and Hauptmann to 7/JG 302.
They all flew aircraft which came from JG 11 during Wilde Sau-operations.

Re: Three JG 11 pilots

Thanks for the info, it clears up a lot of issues. Although it does raise some other questions.....

1) how/where is there a link between JG 11 and JG 301/302 that allowed these men to share a similar fate that contradicts their loss?
2) Why do the loss lists have the men lost whilst serving as part of JG 11
3) Where did the men previously serve (if anywhere)?

Other members have, no doubt, far more information than I have on this subject, but in short: Gruppen from JG 1 and JG 11 provided/shared aircraft with the Wilde Sau-units by so called Aufsitzereinsätse.

Re: Three JG 11 pilots

Wikipedia offers:
While I gruppe was formed in Neubiberg II./JG 301 was formed in October 43 at Altenburg from elements of II./JG 300, and without its own establishment of fighters shared aircraft used by I./JG 11. In November the unit was renamed II./JG 302. III gruppe was initially raised in October 1943 at Zerbst, but was renamed III./JG 300 the same month. The gruppe again reformed at Zerbst in November 1943, and was disbanded in May 1944.

Re: Three JG 11 pilots

Fw Leiner Josef, Oldersbek, crashed during night-training-flight.
Uffz Leonhard Palzkill, Schweinfurt, engine-failure during Feindflug, parachuted, broke his leg.
Fw Ernst Hautmann, 20. Dez. 1943,Bokel/Oldenburg, crashed when starting for Feindflug at night.

So none of the losses was due to enemy action.
