New Homepage_Plane crashes and Pilot fates documentation during 2nd World 30 km around Heidelberg
 

Hello,
I would like to introduce my homepage: "Pilot fates in World War II, plane crashed within 30 km around Heidelberg" to you.
Below you can find the link:

The homepage is still under construction and information is still being added.
The homepage is for public use informing the interested over what happened then and to preserve the information for the future.
If you have addenda or further information for me they would be gladly appreciated.
The English translation will follow soon.

Klaus,

you should better sort you list by date and not by running numbers. Than you will better notice that you have some dublicates listed.

Hi Merlin,
yes you are right for many cases. but i made the decision for me to activate the folder :Search on the top, with this folder you can search by date, name, unit, plane and much more.

Bf 109 list under no. 32: the title lists the aircraft as Bf 110 and the details show a Fw 190.

Lt. Georg Wroblewski 5./JG 11 not JG 2 made at the 12. May 1944 a belly landing between Alzey and Kirchheim-Bolanden in a Wine Yard.

That is a Totally New Information :

Pilot: Oblt. Werner Roßbach *12.05.1916 Elsterberg (Vogtland)
Einheit: 9./JG2
Datum: 25.Februar 1945
Uhrzeit: 11Uhr
Angriffsziel: Reichsverteitigung
Absturzursache: Abschuss durch P-51, P-47 und P-38 Jäger ?

Absturzort: Bei Lobenfeld in der Tongrube von der Fa Creaton (ehem. Fa.Trost) ??



Status: Überlebt durch Fallschirmabsprung ???



Heimatflughafen: Ettinghausen (Westerwaldkreis in Rheinland Pfalz) - means Ettingshausen near Gießen

Klaus , from NVM - Flg.Horst Grossostheim 14.10.1944 Feindflug He 111 S3+AK 161380 Ff Oblt Dieter Ludewig +, B Uffz Josef Weber inj. Bw Uffz Hermann Bartels inj. all are shown as kdt.von KG 55. Ursache : Beim Landen (bei Ruckkehr vom Feindflug) ins Wirtschaftsgedaude gerollt, Auftrag :Versorgung St. Nazaire. I think this translates as on landing returning from a combat flight hit a workshop building. mission supply flight to St. Nazaire. Crew transferred from KG55,

Backed up by Ultra: He 111 H-16, 161380 crash landing 14/10, Ostheim, 75% damage.

15 KG 55 aircraft were allocated to TGr. 30 at the end of October, one of a number of batches transferred in the autumn of 1944.
