Stuttgart-Echterdingen, a full late 1945 set
Hi there Folks,
I just chanced on a full set of Stuttgart-Ectherdingen pictures, taken late 1945 by T/4 (Sergeant) Ralph E. Schuett, S/N 36772153, from Belvidere, Illinois, who was in the 3353 Quartermaster Truck Company, 54th Quartermaster Battalion. All are found via eBay auction. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a8942fca This picture shows a Ju 87 D and two Bf 109's. The one behind the Ju 87 is Bf 109 K-4 W.Nr. 33x xxx "Schwarze 8", 6./ JG 27. A close-up of this bird is published in Green 2000, p. 75. In the centre, under the lone leafless tree : Bf 109 G-14/AS W.Nr. 464 642 "Weisse 10", unit unknown. A close-up of this plane can be seen in my Flickr account, courtesy of Kees Mol. http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...7631640777228/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/2809206...7631640777228/ Here the two other pics of Bf 109 K-4 W.Nr. 33x xxx "Schwarze 8", 6./JG 27: And here are the other shots: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a894461a Ju 87 D cockpit. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a8942d49 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a8943560 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c228fd BMW 132 ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c22428 Arado 196 "??+WN"; in the background, the rear fuselage of a He 111. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c2099d http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c20b81 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c20de7 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c20ee4 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a8942684 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item2101c21194 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-Sna...item33a8942930 http://www.ebay.com/itm/Orig-Snapsho...item2101c2147c General views Cheers Marc |

Arado 196 "??+WN"; in the background, the rear fuselage of a He 111. Iis this an Ar 196 seaplane or could it be an Ar 96 trainer? |
Re: Stuttgart-Echterdingen, a full late 1945 set
The radial engines are more likely Bramo 323 and not BMW 132
