Unknown Ju 88 Insignia
Ebay seller had this as a KG 30 aircraft in Norway. I don't have a reference that shows this as a KG 30 emblem. Any thoughts?

Re: Unknown Ju 88 Insignia
This was one of the as yet unidentified emblems on LEMB. A slightly closer example of which showed what appears to a be a lion having it's tail cut/stabbed by a sword. I do not think we ever got any closer to identifying it.
Edit: The other photo appears to show evidence of a large cable cutter apparatus installed on the Ju88. The emblem shows a few stars dotted around in the background with possible nocturnal connections. Edit 2: The other photo had apparent KG30 connections too... |

This emblem was discussed on the LEMB in the thread entitled Emblem on Ju88s with cable fenders? of 27 October 2009. The original photos, three in total, from an expired eBay auction were referenced via links only, so I do not have the copies. The attached is a magnified portion of the photo with the emblem, which unfortunately does not give much information.
Perhaps some of the former LEMB members can help with the aforementioned three photos based on the provided information? Chris? |

Post No.4 and 5: Gentlemen, thank you. The exact emblem motif is hard to establish from the available photographic evidence.

Clint, both photos from the same airplane. Close-ups from the other photo shown. I believe it would have to be a lion given they were fighting the British but...
