Luftwaffe Loses 28th February 1945.
 

Hello everyone,

I am looking for information concerning Luftwaffe loses on 28th February 1945, particularly any information concerning one (or more) shot down by heavy machinegun fire whilst tasked to destroy a bridge that I have as "Over the Oder, in the region of Görlitz". The aircraft (unknown model) was downed by a platoon commander of the heavy machinegun company of the 1332nd Regiment Of Anti-Aircraft Defence. This plane was either the commander's third kill of his career or he downed three on the 28th (most likely the former but the write-up is a little confused). One of the "large group" of aircraft that attacked dropped a bomb right at the AA gunners and although being "on target" did not silence the AA fire.
