JG 105 in Chartres (France, 1943)
Hi,
Please who could help me to read the correct handwriting on the back side of this photo : " Franz. Jager Dewoitine [D-520], mit Lt. Kaniath (?), Uffz. Kûhn und Uffz Martin, Chartres 1943". Can we correct this sentence ? Do we know something about these German flyers ? Thank you Philippe |

Re: JG 105 in Chartres (France, 1943)
You could have a try by typing in the last names of these German pilots in the Kracker Luftwaffe Archive database on AircrewRemembered[dot]com:
http://aircrewremembered[dot]com/KrackerDatabase/ (in which the text [dot] should be replaced by a real dot: ".") Watch out: Kühn is spelt with an Umlaut and while searching "Martin": This is a last name (it appears many times in the database as it also is a German first name...) I can't read the exact spelling of "Kaniath" - this might be a different name - maybe someone else has a better idea on this one or can confirm the spelling..? Good luck, Piet |

Lt. Rudolf Karioth became wounded on 26.11.44 while flying A Fw 190A-8 with 10./JG 301.
There are nine loss reports for a pilot "Uffz. Kühn" and four for "Uffz. Martin" in the years 1943 to 1945. No chance to identify the correct ones. |
