Correction Rémi: it is actually W.Nr. 20 790 and it is shot at Fassberg after surrendering ;)

Bonjour Marc-André,

I have in my files a photo taken by a german pilot (end 1944 or early 45) when he was in a fighter school.

Here is a low resolution scan of this photo.

The 109 has a tall tail, the number "256" painted on the fuselage below the cockpit, the Werknummer "?4872" on the rudder and... the same camouflage with small spots on the fuselage and the tail.

is it possible that number "256" belongs to JG 106, and this
picture was taken between 8. Feb. and 28. Februar 1945 on
airfield Mengen?
