Crash of Bf 109 G-6 w.nr. 26061 4./JG 3 Uffz. E. Bartsch

Good evening Gentlemen,

I'm looking for more information and backgrounds of the pilot Uffz. E. Bartsch. This pilot parked his BF 109 vertically in a field behind our village on 22 September 1943. He was fortunate to bail out and land safely.
His aircraft is buried deeply into Dutch soil.
The aircraft came down in a crossing of two canals and in 1987 the owner of the field did some digging to fill these canals without realizing there was a airplane wreck. This brought up some pieces to the surface.
Yesterday i found an interesting piece of skin probably.
Unfortunately without any numbers.

I'm most curious about more info of this pilot and unit, the way this airplane was painted. Any advise where to start would be appreciated.

Best regards Arjan

Thanks Harrie!

Hardinxveld Giessendam is close to approx. 8 km to the south so that's nice. Could it be 20-10-44 crash near Arsbeck thats when he lost his life. I hope to find a photo of the man and more background info of him somewhere but online there's not much to find unfortunatly.

The part i've found has still some paint on it, that looks like white and very light pink but that could be faded paint.

Thanks a lot for your help!

Best regards,
Arjan
