Ju 52 found in Leros
Hi friends,
I got today some pics taken from my friend Pierre Kosmides at the air force museum of Dekelia/Athens. One can see the Ju 52 which was shot down 14.11.43 near a coast of Leros by british flak. The plain is professional restored, a Ju 52 of 5./T.G. 2 (4V+BT, W.Nr. 7607) 100% damaged. Pilot unknown, BF. Uffz. Herwarth Mandelkow, BM. Uffz. Kurt Hanuschek, both killed. https://m.warhistoryonline.com/milit...red-leros.html regards Byron |
