7./LG1 Heinkel He111H-1. Both engines damaged by Skuas of No. 803 (FAA) Squadron (Lt W.P. Lucy, and Lt J.M. Christian) during attack on Andalsnes and ditched in Storfjord off Apalset 1.30 p.m. BM Gefr Heinz Röhr killed, BO Lt Eberhard Kahl captured badly wounded – died four days later in Aalsund hospital, BF Fw Gerhard Rein captured wounded – later released, FF Uffz Theodor Mertens captured unhurt - shipped to England. Aircraft L1+HR 100% write-off.
