Bundesarchiv photos

Hello,
How is to ask photos to bundesarchiv? Is it embarrasing? Takes long time?(I know the ref. numbers to ask). There are a fee for private use and another for publishing purposes?

As I understand, the last time I was interested, it was necessary to have a publisher and to pay not a very reasonable fee to borrow a paper print. Similar situation in ECPA I think.
Anybody can confirm?

I agree with Franek-I thought they would only supply photos if they are intended for use in a publication

At arrivel at Bundesarchiv you have to inform them of which project you are working on (book, article etc) and the price for a copy is includet the right to publish the photo. At the moment 10 - 20 Euro
