Hi Andrew,

It seems that the aircraft in the photo could be B-24H-30-FO. Serial No. 42-95027. One of 266 in the group 42-95023 / 42-95288.

Aircraft took a direct hit by flak in #3 engine and bomb bay at the target, went down immediatley into a dive then pulled up slightly, rolled over and went out of control
