P-47 thunderbolt serial 42-75075 crash march 9, 1945
 

Hello,

Does anyone have more information (official reports etc.) about the following crash:

P-47D, serial number 42-75075 (512th FS, 406th FG, 9th AF), stationed at Y-29 Asch, crashed at Ginderover {K-3762}, Belgium due to engine failure Mar 9, 1945. Pilot Walter H. Orr bailed out and survived, but aircraft was destroyed.

Hello ,

If you translate the coordinates you will find out that the airfact crashed at
50°56'05'' North - 05°25'01'' East in the neightbourhood off Diepenbeek province Limburg Belgium .
