Lt. Ludewig's 109 May 1940
Lt. Ludewig of 9./JG 26 made a bellylanding near The Hague on May 10th, 1940. Does anybody, Larry?, have pictures of this aircraft after the bellylanding?
Thanks, John |

John,
Yes, several. It's also one of our color profile a/c for the EoE Project. |

Larry,
I found a picture of a 109 that could be this specific loss, see enclosed. Is this the same aircraft? Cheers, John |
Re: Lt. Ludewig's 109 May 1940
John,
Definitely. I have this same photo. Those are the cameraman's fingers over the front of the lens. This is from a series of three photos showing this a/c: this one, much of a port-side view, and the tail of the a/c. There are two other photos from other sources as well--a total of 5 images of this a/c in the EoE photo DB. Did you need these for something, or just wanted to confirm the ID of the photo you posted? |

Just to ID, this one belonged to a colleague and he was curious what it was...
1940 is not my ball game.... John |
