Bf109G-14 Jorg Czypionka

Hello, nice site here. I am looking for information on a Bf109G-14, white 8 flown by Jorg Czypionka of 10/JG300. I am modeling his plane using the 1/32 Hasegawa kit. What I need to find is images or information, I am wondering if his plane had exhaust shields, small rectangular window in the cockpit, and type of MG used in the upper cowl. I have seen an artists rendition of the plane in overall RLM 76. I have been modeling since 11 years old in 1964, my father and ex WWII vet got me into this hobby. He was USAAF on Guam and Okinawa in '44 and '45. He was a corporal building airfields for the bombers going to Japan. He even claimed when in training in the "west" a pilot let him take the controls of a B-17, said it felt like the wings were actually flapping! Anyways , any information would be very much appreciated.---John

JOHVAN,

I do recommend you the 2 volumes History of JG 300 by Jean-Yves LORANT and Richard GOYAT, a fantastic work about that unit, with several beautiful lateral paintings, charts of losses, combat missions, interviews with veterans and hundreds of pictures. You won't be disappointed, believe me.

Humbly yours,
Adriano

as I said Georg flew a G-6/AS and later a G-14/AS after his all blue 109G blew a piston ....we have quite a bit of info's on the 10th staffel flying at night.

E ~ and as pointed aout Lorants volume 1 is an excellent overall start not real specific but still good..

Why not ask Jorg himself? He is living in southern California and we have done several airshows together. If you would contact me by e-mail (japeterburs@gmail.com) I will provide you with his telephone number. Joe Peterburs

Joe thank you. Does Jorg have an e-mail? The phone is
out of my "comfort zone", especially with my tinitis. Thanks---John

Re: Bf109G-14 Jorg Czypionka

Thanks. Seeing as though he never flew this fictional white 8 I guess I should move on. What I have is a standard G-14, tall tail, short tail wheel, small wing bumps. Do any pictures or schematics exist for a JG 300 night fighter with these options? I have seen "standard" G-14s listed but no actual pictures, I need to know the colors and camouflage scheme. Thanks.---John
