14 May 1943 Antwerp & Courtrai Raid
 

I believe this was Ramrod # 73 with a raid of B-17 on the Antwerp Industrial complex and the III./JG 26 airfield at Wevelghem. I have the 8th Fighter Command losses and B-17 losses. Can anyone tell me about the RAF Spitfire losses (1) and claims (8-1-5). Also 8th FC claims (5-3-8).

I don't find any Spitfires losses on that day in Belgium.

Hello ,

Sorry i made a mistake Clarke came down in Belgium , Vibiral did'n take part in a Ramrod to Belgium , he attacked that day a port on the island of Geurnsey.

Hello ,

Phelps was flying a patrol between the Isle of Wight and Beachy Head.Probaly he in the sea 20 miles east of Deal according the ORB.

Hi,

During the ramrod 73/I, slt Maurice Mailfert of n°341 (Free French) squadron "Alsace" has been damaged. The ammunition box in the left wing of its Spitfire have been destroyed by Lw a/c and he must force-landed at Manston.
