Thank you Franck
Another listing by same seller has an Me262 wreck behind the staff car. Same location? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Original-ww2...gAAOSw--1Wq~fu Vince... |
Re: Me262 at Innsbruck-Hötting. eBay
Hi Vince,
Based on the landscape seen behind the staff car, which closely resembles that in other pictures taken at Innsbruck-Hotting, I would say yes. As an educated guess, based on the missing gun covers, the rearward collapsed nose wheel and the damaged port engine nacelle, the Me 262 is "white 12". Jim |
Re: Me262 at Innsbruck-Hötting. eBay
White 12 does not show a white Werknummer, so I think it is WNr 111857. The barn is the one with the Ju 87 from NSGr 9 standing in the opposite end. Interesting are the construction works visible in elongation of the shed. Shelters for JV 44´s Me 262s?
The photo with the car is certainly from Hötting. Taken on the road to Telfs with the Blasiberg on the opposite side of the river Inn. The road to Telf connects Innsbruck to Munich which is the reason for so many Me 262 photos from Hötting. The jet in the background with the collapsed nosegear is most certainly White 12 Regards RolandF |
