Chris,
Thanks for response. The Hall refered to was my father. He was shot down close by some 8 months later and spent the remainder of the war in Germany. If you are interested I have a small photo of the plane having just landed on the water which was published in a UK newspaper at the time. |

Hi all,
General Qartiermeister Verlustmeldung vom 24. Jun 1941 corrects the initial loss. Ltn. Ohlendorf was KIA and the rest of the crew unhurt. Regards, Norbert |
Re: Dornier 18- June 13 1941.Downed off Norway
Well that makes more sense, as there is a Willi Hagen listed as receiving the DKiG on 31/1/42 (but from memory with a different unit)

Re: Dornier 18- June 13 1941.Downed off Norway
Ofw Willi Hagen was then with 1/606 according to my records (later I/KG 77). I will see what else I have on him

This information is all very interesting. Father had hopes that they had all survived as they were close to the coast.
Two photos taken at the time are attached. Bjorn. Does anyone have photographs of the crew of the Dornier or in fact the acyual plane. Was it based at Sola? PS Photos to follow--they are toolarge to send at the moment. |
