Seeking ID clarification
The Ebay seller posted a rather interesting shot of a
Luftwaffe A/A unit firing from a cargo train carriage marked with a David Star probably assigned to carry Jews to concentration camps and the wreck of a DB-3 or IL-4 bomber . Question: was the star a Deutsche Reichsbahn a sort of a code for weight or volumes or simply intended to mark human transport carriages ? On the second shot I was wondering if this was RAF or Yugoslavian recon Blenheim ? Alex K |
Re: Seeking ID clarification
There is a squadron code on the Blenheim, possibly UX. UX was the code for 82 Squadron RAF (Sep 1939 - Mar 1946) . The squadron flew Blenheim IVs from Aug 1939 to Mar 1942.
