Luftwaffe casualties

I am always amazed by the knowledge of the members of this group, and always grateful for any information regarding my many questions.

I have created a database which contains the names of 5,750 Luftwaffe flying personnel killed or missing, from 1st June 1940 to 1st June 1941, on all fronts: France, England, Greece, Africa, etc.

However, names not on the database yet are those Luftwaffe flying personnel who did not die in action. These deaths could be from car accidents, illness, etc.

So my question is: Does anyone know of any such deaths of Luftwaffe flying personnel during the above period that would not appear on the Luftwaffe Loss returns? Names, dates, cause of death?

Re: Luftwaffe casualties

I have found a list of numbers of general Luftwaffe non-combat losses. I believe there are a few books that mention non-combat, along with combat losses.

Deaths of individual personnel serving in operational units (whatever the cause) were routinely reported in the NVMs in exactly the same way of those of combat losses.
