Hptm Erich Woitke -EK1
 

Just found a EK1 list online http://jeffooi.tripod.com/Ek1-Trager/A-Z.htm
and no listing for Erich Woitke! Hard to believe a Spanish Civil War-Battle of the Bulge Jadgflieger would not earn at least an EK1.
Does anyone know whether Hptm Woitke was awarded the EK1? In one of the few photographs of him, he is shown wearing the EK1.

It is probably safe to say that Woitke was awarded the EK1 particularly if you have photographic evidence that supports it. The website site you noted is trully a work in progress and Jeff, the author of that site, is always eager to find/add information to his going list and daunting task of compiling EK1 recipinets from all branches of the Wehrmacht.

If you send him on the information re Woitke, he will give you full credit for finding this information.
