A few of tens photographs of crashed Spitfire IIA, P7784 of 64 Sqn and P/O Rowden´s body, + 9/4/41 near Mardyck.
On first picture, 2nd from right is Hptm Fözö, an official victor.

hi,

Has anyone any idea as to why, after the removal of the pilots body, the cockpit cover was removed from the aircraft ?
i would understand if it was done to enable the removal, but the canopy is seen in place and then later on it is not there.
