BELL P 39
 

Greetings to all aviation historians. I would ask and ask for advice. There is a list of serial numbers of Bell P 39, which was used in Russia during World War II? In our country near Harracksdorf, one crashed, the pilot died, a monument without a name. I would like to find out who that pilot that the statue was no longer nameless.
I know only that the accident was the beginning of March 1945. Would somebody please history to advance?

Soviet P-39Q-25-BE (S/N: 44-32665, engine: А-032646, st.Lt. Rogachko) of 268 IAP crashed at Petrovice-W, Czech Rep. on April 13, 1945. That's the only soviet P-39 I have info on in the area, but I guess, this is a bit too much distance. Perhaps another P-39 of the same 268 IAP?

Greetings to all who responded to my post. I really appreciate it. There are just some acceptance marks and numbers written in pencil on the reverse side braces and sheets. There is a list of P crashed 39 in 1945? One four-digit number here is repeated enough, but perhaps it was a big coincidence if it were a number of aircraft. It is quite likely that the aircraft could be conducted as a loss in Poland. Anyway, it is sad that there is a pilot, and his family has no clue about it.

What is the four digit serial number.. very possibly the key lead to the actual aircraft AAF serial number.

Marian - AAF serial number 44-3534 was indeed a Bell P-39Q-21-BE. It was a Lend lease Aircobra supplied to the USSR in late 1944.

I believe it was in the last block of P-39Q's sent to USSR..
