does anyone have more information on Oblt. Naechster ? Anything more than what is found on the Luftwaffe Officer Career Summaries NÄCHSTER (NAECHSTER), Dr. Fritz Felix. (DOB: 31.03.14 in Berlin). 06.05.41 Lt., 2./JG 51. 28.07.41 Lt., 2./JG 51. 01.42 trf to 1./JG 51. 02.42 trf to JGr. Drontheim. 10.42 trf to JFS 3 as a fighter instructor. 31.08.43 Oblt., appt Stafü and/or Staka 3./JG 25 (to 30.11.43). 19.01.45 Oblt., from 5./JG 52 appt Staka 8./JG 52 (to 08.03.45). 02.45 Stafü 8./JG 52. 03.45 Oblt. and pilot in 5./JG 52. †26.10.2001. Credited with 5 victories. I was told he was awarded the RK and DK but I couldn't find anything. Many thanks in advance |

Apart from ploughing through kill lists (Johannes who frequents will no doubt help) and Jochen Prien's boooks or contacting relatives, you will have more than most. No RK, DKiG or EP I'm afraid

Thanks for the intro. Nothing I can add to whats already been listed except his claims. Seems he spent most of the war as a trainer until February 1945 when he joined 8./JG 52. Claims are(all with 2./JG 51as a Leutnant):- 6th May 1941 Spitfire 1km N Calais 1412 hrs 200 metres Nr.1 30th June 1941 DB-3 1503 hrs Nr.2 3rd July 1941 Pe-2 1003 hrs Nr.3 27th July 1941 SB-2 S StaraBychow 1843 hrs Nr.4 28th July 1941 Il-2 1724 hrs Nr.5 Kind Regards Johannes |

My friend Bernd Barbas visited him and his thirty-six year younger wife in later life, but he was very ill and could remember nothing, asked Bernd what his staffel was, though Bernd is his wifes age! Kind Regards Johannes |
