Kenneth E. Newton 151 Sqn 1940
Hi guys
F/O Kenneth E. Newton of 151 Squadron was lost at the end of June 1940. I believe he was credited with two victories. Any ideas? Cheers Brian |

Brian
Is your question about his death (40785 Fg Off Kenneth Edward Newton was lost 28 Jun 40) or his kills (I can find one with a very quick search a Bf 109 29 May 40)? |
Re: Kenneth E. Newton 151 Sqn 1940
Hi Chris
Apologies for the lack of clarification. I was enquiring about his claims/credits. Cheers Brian |

Re: Kenneth E. Newton 151 Sqn 1940
Brian,
I'll just point out that in your book Twelve Days in May you state that Newton, on attachment to 607 Sqn., possibly made two claims of unknown category on 14 May. In addition there is the 29 May claim mentioned by Chris. Cheers, Tom |
Re: Kenneth E. Newton 151 Sqn 1940
Thanks guys
Bruce: I'd forgotten that website - I was about to purchase 151 Sqn ORB for May 1940 from TNA! Tom: I have reason to doubt what I wrote in 12 Days in May, hence my enquiry. An updated version is long overdue!! Cheers Brian |
Re: Kenneth E. Newton 151 Sqn 1940
Hi Brian
always worth googling a specific Squadron as there are quite a few ORB type records on the net. Also the history of 607 Sq "A Shade of Blue" mentions Newton as a 607 pilot and it might be worth looking at "RAF Top Gun" the book about Teddy Donaldson Bruce Lander |
