Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
Hi guys
Leutnant Norbert Graziadei (8 victories) of II./JG 300 was wounded and baled out on three occasions: 7 July 1944, 27 September 1944 and 31 December 1944. I am aware of the loss list details for the first of these but not for the latter two which occurred while he was serving with 5./JG 300. Would anyone have this information? Any details would be very appreciated. Horrido! Leo |
Re: Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
1944-12-31, 5./JG 300, Fw 190 A-8, 69531, 14 rote, Rotenburg (Wümme)
Flugzeugführer (Staffelführer) Lt Graziadei, Norbert, verletzt Luftkampf. Bruch ? %. WNr. is from the NVM and obviously wrong. Correct could be 960531. Matti |
Re: Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
27.9.44
5./J.G. 300, Fw 190 A-8/R2, Rote 2. He baled out after combat 11.30 hrs. over the city of Gotha and landed on a building. 31.12.44 W.Nr. could be a typo in the NVM. Perhaps it is 682 931. Fw 190 A-8/R2. He baled out after combat 12.13 hrs. Rgds, Kaczmarek |
Re: Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
I think Matti is right. Just compare the German pronounciation:
69531: "Neunundsechzig-fünfhunderteinunddreißig" 960531: "Neunhundertsechzig-fünfhunderteinunddreißig" Happens imo when transmitted by telephone or radio Regards RolandF |
Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
Hi guys
Many thanks to all for your most valuable help in this matter. I can only presume he was only lightly wounded on the second incident and thus it was not recorded in the Namentliche Verlustmeldung. I appreciate the insight provided by RolandF concerning the scrambled Werk Nummer listed for the third incident. Horrido! Leo |
Re: Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
Leo,
For what is worth: the action on 27-09-1944 : full account by N.Graziadei is told in Vol.2 of Jagdgeschwader 300 "Wilde Sau" by Lorant & Goyat, p.21-23. The same for his action on 31-12-1944, p.157-159. And also a nice picture of him on page 161. In the lost list the Werkenr is listed as 692531, a Fw 190A-8/R2. Kind regards, Dirk |
Leutnant Norbert Graziadei
Hi Dirk
Thanks for the advice and I will look up those pages in the book. I honestly think that perhaps there might be an error with the Werk Nummer given in the loss list as we now know that the 69X Werk Nummer block comprised a small series built by Leichtbau Budweis and as far as I am aware of this included only 690 001 through 690 160. Any thoughts will be most welcome! Horrido! Leo |
