Which German fighter groups attacked 2nd Division on 22/12/1943?
 

I hope some can help who knows which German fighter groups attacked the
B-24's of 2nd Division (8th Air Force) above Osnabruck, on the 22nd of december 1943, and made attacks on them on the way back to England.

Any additional information about maybe from which fields they were taking off, which German pilot's take of etc. Should be very helpfull.

According to the Tony Wood site, the following made claims of B-24s on 22 December 1943:

Hptm. Anton Kiel 6./ZG 26
Ltn. Gerhard Bitter 2./ZG 26
Oblt. Peter Jenne 1./ZG 26
Fw. Theo von Kovarbasic 7.ZG 26
Uffz Holzmann 1./ZG 26
Ofw. Walter Krutzer 2./ZG 26
Uffz. Haering 4./ZG 26
Fw Weigand Stab III./JG 11

The above site gives you the place, height and time of the claim.

Googling each of the Geschwaders will lead to sites that will give the airbases and dates of each Gruppe.
