BofF T&N has Lt R Dietrich killed by ground fire but returned. Why do you think he was buried in Belgium?

10 May 1940 1.(H)/41 Henschel Hs126B-1. Returned damaged by ground fire 10 km south-west of Maastricht. Pilot unhurt, BO Lt Richard Dietrich killed. Aircraft 10% damaged - repairable.
Official records state that he died in Reserve Hospital I at Cologne-Hohenlind as a result of a head wound caused by ground-fire. His grave is apparently not administered by the VDK. |

I took it for granted that the B meant Belgium because of the description South-West of Maastricht. Sorry ! It is the Beobachter.
