Gefreiten Konrad Schmelzer (Lw) + 21.06.42

Hi All,

I am hoping that someone might be able to give me more information on this airman!
Konrad was killed on the 21.06.1942 when his Ju 88 was involved with a collision with another aircraft. I have just purchased some documents which includes his Wehrpass and see that he was originally in the Kriegsmarine during 1940.
The unit was 2 Kp. 14 Schiffsstammabteilung - Glückstadt. Moved to Luftwaffe on the 03.06.1940. From the 30.10.41 to 05.03.42 he served with 10./KG 30, missions to England.
06.03.42 transferred to 2./KG 30 and flew missions in Russia up until 12.05.42.
Transferred again on the 13.05.42 to Ku.Fl.Gr. 3./106 and flew again over England up until his death. With the collection is his Kriegsmarine ID disc together with half a disc with a different number!

Does anyone have the WASt NVM for his loss???? Can anyone confirm his Luftwaffe Erkennungsmarke?

Thanks for reading my request, hope someone can help further?

Kind regards,

Melvin
