Koolhoven FK43 in English service - MX459 - escape from Holland 15 May 1940
 

Dear all,

l am writing a small article for our magazine Bulletin on the escape of Mr. Justus Heymans from Amsterdam-Schiphol airport on 15 May 1940. The plane he used was a Koolhoven FK 43 with military registration '965' (former PH-ASN) and Heymans landed on Orfordness airfield near Ipswich in the early morning.

I have two questions and your help would help me enormously to complete the story:

- the Koolhoven got the English registration MX459. Is there any image of this plane during its time in England? The plane survived the war and returned to Holland in May 1945.

- Is there a good aerial image or map of the Orfordness airfield (preferable around May 1940)?
