Re: HS 126 wih 5D+MH??? There isn't written the a/c was shot down by Polish fighters ... it's written "1939 - polnischer Flieger" ("1939 - Polish airplane" -- an misinterpretation). |

Re: HS 126 wih 5D+MH??? A "Polish airman"? Thanks for comments, but: It can also mean a "Polish airman" the identity of the the perpetrator of the plane crash? I've done too much shorthand, I thought of the perpetrators of the destruction. Not, this is a "Polish plane" because identity of it is well know for Germans: black crosses + swastica + code mw |

Re: HS 126 wih 5D+MH??? Some thoughts about the knowledge of a German uninterested on the sign system of aircrafts: In my collection I have an picture of an Czech Aero MB.200 with Czech roundels and the caption on the backside: "Eine russische Maschine die von den Deutsche festgehalten wurde in Prag." ("an Russian airplane captured by the Germans ..."). I think it was known at this time in Germany they occupied Czech and not Russia. And the Russian sign - the Red star - was well know from the German Communist party ... |
