An interview with Johannes Steinhoff
Dear All,
In The Most Dangerous Enemy (unfortunately, I only have access to the online version, which does not include a detailed bibliography), the author refers to Johannes Steinhoff quoted in Guardian Weekly (1990). Does any of you have this interview or article? https://books.google.pl/books?id=Ly7...201990&f=false Thank you very much in advance. |
Re: An interview with Johannes Steinhoff
I found this interview some time ago -
http://www.historynet.com/interview-...-steinhoff.htm - but it's from an article by Colin D Heaton published in 2000 in World War II Magazine and I don't know if it is the same as the one in the Guardian in 1990. |
Re: An interview with Johannes Steinhoff
Thank you very much for the link. In fact, I have also found this interview on the Internet. However, I don't think it's the same interview because the interviewer says: 'Soon you will celebrate your 80th birthday.'
As Steinhoff was born in 1913, this must have been in 1993, and the interview I'm looking for was published in 1990. |
Re: An interview with Johannes Steinhoff
maybe when you're 77, 80 is soon! haha.

Re: An interview with Johannes Steinhoff
Maybe, but in this interview, Steinhoff doesn't mention the so-called 'Kanalkrankheit', and, according to the note in 'The Most Dangerous Enemy', the author describes the 'Kanalkrankheit' on the basis of Steinhoff's interview for Guardian Weekly (1990). That's why I think it must be a different interview.
