Lt Glennon Moran, 487th FS/352nd FG - June 12, 1944
 

Hello/Bonjour,

I am looking for a copy of the original mission report of Lt Glennon Moran, 487th FS/352nd FG for its claim of June 12, 1944 for an Me-109 shot-down during an aerial fighting near Rennes, France. With the aim to present this document (along with a translation) during an exhibition we have planned regarding the German pilot - Harti Schmiedel - who flew this Me-109. Some pieces of wreckage and the pilot's remains were found by members of a local association in September 2004 [http://www.absa3945.com/]. I thank you beforehand for your assistance.

Thank you for this proposal Ed but on this website the contact is the late Bob "Punchy" Powell who passed away on June 22, 2016. A "grand monsieur" and a great loss for us all. I have been in touch with him several years ago and he has always kindly responded to all my requests.

So, it is why I try to obtain a copy of this report by other means, other than ordering the document/the reel to the US archives.
