jg27-flugbuch with unknown loss?

hi,

in this flugbuch (see
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Raritat-Origi...kAAOSwB09YJwy-

is mentioned a loss of the jagdflieger of II./jg27 during the last days of march 45. does anyone knows the name of the pilot?

Given that this FB appears to include training, the SKZ guys would likely find this FB quite useful, however a look at the Prien team's II./JG 27 history shows that this could be any one of 7-8 different guys. But he has all of 9 Feindflug (per the description)!!

Gotta love that the seller won't even show the name of the pilot, or the dates of the sorties, or anything else significant for that matter -

Bonjour Rémi,

I don't think. The FF in the logbook reveal came to J.G. 27 in December 1944. In a time in which the J.G. 27 was no more in the Afrika campaign. For my opinion the "Afrika" cufftitle is an earlier production, also the uniform. This does not go together for me.

Possible, seems he spent some time with schools unit prior to join the JG27

Let us hope the buyer will share some information about this interesting FB. There are not that many FB of late war II./JG 27 pilots known. It would bring more information on operations, combats and losses.

Cheers,

John

hi,
if the photo is connected to the flugbuch, then the guy maybe was a "normal" soldier of the luftwaffe before. many gunners or radio operators or mechanics were trained as a pilot in 1943/44.
all the best
