Beaufighter 248° Sq C.Command vs Bf.109 22/4/42
 

Hello

the 22/4/1942, Wing Commander Leslie Ernest Hyde with his Beaufighter T4785 P/248 made a forced landing after received several hits by Bf 109( before killed five days later).

Anyone has further informations about the bf.109 involved ?( JG 5 but who ?)

As the Germans did not recognise damaged aircraft, unless the Germans aircraft was lost, logbook exists or war diary exists, getting a precise answer might be hard

Hyde and Paget both 29th April 1942 on CWGC.
Would squadron ORB have details of Sqd Ldrs a/c returning in damaged condition on the 22nd ?

Hi

I think that it's 248° Sq ORB ( I rely on the direct qotes of the site: world war 2 aircaft wreck sites in Norway)
