Kommando Nowotny Me262 Question
 

Hi,

I am trying to identify which number the Me262 flown by Oberfähnrich Willi Banzhaff on 1st November 1944 carried. It was Werk Nummer 110386 but I can't find reference to the number it would have carried (if indeed it was marked with a number at all?).

Oberfähnrich Willi Banzhaff shot down a 20th Fighter Group P-51 on this date before being shot down himself. He bailed out successfully on this occasion but was KIA three days later.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hello

he shot down the mustang of the 77th Fighter Squadron( Lieutenant Dennis J.Alison)

he was shot down by Lieutenant W.L.Groce ( 56th Fighter Group ) and Lieutenant W.T Gerb ( 352th Fighter Group )

I'm hoping someone may have a list of Werk Numbers and the attached aircraft number. For example the aircraft that Nowotny was KIA in was 110400 - White 8.

I believe the correct name is Banzhof....no info on the tactical number though....the NVM's have only the Werknummer. Also other lists of Kdo Nowotny losses show only Werknummer.
