Luftwaffe Kill Reports

Hello all: I'm new to this aspect of WWII research, so please excuse my ignorance. Would Luftwaffe pilots have written reports on every action in which they attacked Allied aircraft? I'm looking specifically for JG 2 reports for July 1943.

Reports (abschuss bericht) were written just for aircraft claimed as destroyed but very few have survived
