Luftwaffe claim Reference: W.J.A.W. MSS

Dear all,

surfing on Tony Wood's claims list, I noted some claims are quoted as:
Reference: W.J.A.W. MSS

Do you know what this acrynim stand for?
Is it an official document like the microfilm?

Thank you

Flavio

Can you perhaps give us a full claim reference.

Hi,

I believe that W.J.A.W. stands for W.J.A. 'Tony' Wood, and MSS is manuscript/s.

Thank you Andrew for the help.

Sidney, here an example taken from Tony's list:

I noted the reference WJAW MSS compares only in Supplemental Claims and cover almost all Me262's unit claims.

Hi Ed,

No, it's definitely manuscript. See, for example, the reference "Arthy MSS f. 4" from his 'Reich & West 1943.doc' file, which is from a list of claims I sent him.

Cheers,
Andrew A.
