79th FG, France, september 44 victories
 

Hello,

I'm finishing a work on the 79th FG but a microfilm concerning missions from September 5th to October 2nd is not readable. In the following microfilm which is a summary I see that there were 3 aerial victories on September 5th and 24th obtained by Earl P Maxwell, Jack C Fortune and Ronal M Faison respectively. Do you know where they were obtained? Against what kind of enemy? And possibly the circumstances.

5 Sept 44 - Captain Earl P. Maxwell - 85th FS/79FG - 1 claim.
9 Sept 44 - Captain Jack C. Fortune - 86FS/79FG - 1 claim.
24 Sept 44 - 1Lt. Ronald M. Raison - 87FS/79FG - 1 claim.

For 24 September Dr. Frank Olynyk lists Bf 109 claims by both Lt Raison and Lt. William C. Waller at "W-1585, Mulhouse area."
